A Brand Built to Last

Lovesac has become one of the fastest-growing furniture brands in the U.S., recently recognized by Newsweek as one of America’s Greatest Companies of 2025. Founded in 1998, the company’s North Star is to inspire humankind to buy better—to buy less. Their approach is simple: create products built to last (Loveable, Durable, Maintainable) and designed to evolve (Adaptable, Sustainable, Reclaimable).

In other words, Lovesac is “Designed for Life.”

That promise shows up in the details—washable, changeable, reconfigurable solutions for their product line, including sacs and sactionals—as well asthe people who bring it to life. Lovesac holds a high standard for its products, the “A” players who work there, and their service providers.

In order to make their supply chain as adaptable as the sactionals, the right platform was required. Lovesac not only needed integrated purchase orders, automated bookings, proactive milestones, and exception reporting, but also clear, reliable views on cost and sustainability.

Having prior hands-on experience with Infor Nexus, the Lovesac team knew it was the right system and chose Allport Cargo Services (ACS) to make it happen.

Within just a few weeks, ACS completed a quick-start onboarding that seamlessly facilitated the platform shift—all without disrupting business operations. Shipments continued to move, and purchase orders began flowing into Infor Nexus right on schedule.

As teams grew more confident with the new system, ACS worked alongside them to align workflows and automate reporting, helping Lovesac reach a steady state faster than expected.

Now with origin cargo management transitioned over to ACS and inbound visibility flowing through Infor Nexus, partners were finally aligned. PO management, pre-production milestones, and exception reports went live immediately, bringing structure and predictability to daily operations.

According to Andy Cohen, VP of Logistics & Customs Compliance, teams are now “more proactive than reactive, with the ability to manage by exception.” Early checkpoints on factory readiness and booking status established a steady daily rhythm—freeing up teams to focus attention where it’s needed most.

Once upstream controls were in place, the next milestone was to integrate all supply chain partners through a custom ingate-to-ASN workflow in Infor Nexus. When an ingate event occurs, it automatically triggers the outbound ASN to Lovesac’s ERP system.

That single event synchronizes the inbound order, keeping every team—across origins and destinations—on the same timeline. The result: shared context, fewer handoffs, and far less inbox churn.

And if a carrier feed lags? ACS steps in to manually enter the milestone, preserving synchronization and continuity. “This change integrated our Supply Chain partners, providing real-time automation and visibility to our inbound inventory in transit,” said Cohen.

That clarity extends all the way downstream. Every shipment is now rated on landed cost directly within Infor Nexus, with each cost component entered manually for full accuracy.

Charges, including origin management fees, are captured at the shipment level, providing a consistent view of true cost-per-unit. Together, ACS and Lovesac are also standardizing GL coding and phasing in automated pass-throughs—creating a foundation for improved landed cost visibility and long-term financial transparency.

Sustainability is a large part of the “Designed for Life” framework, so it was essential to have credible reporting on carbon emissions and related impacts.

To make this possible, ACS configured a shipment data feed to Greenabl—a carbon intelligence platform that calculates greenhouse gas emissions. Greenabl’s results flow back into Infor Nexus, allowing planners to see each shipment’s environmental impact alongside operational considerations.

ACS also helps monitor and manage container-utilization KPIs, an area where Lovesac outpaces competitors by 44%. Higher fill rates translate to fewer containers and a smaller carbon footprint, allowing operational efficiency and sustainability to move forward together.

With over twenty-five years in and with more than 270 stores nationwide, Lovesac has scaled by insisting on core values of Top Ambition, We All Win Together, Conscious Operations, Do Less and Do Best, and Love Matters.

The same philosophy guides their operations and the partners they trust. As Cohen puts it, “The relationship between Lovesac and ACS has been extremely beneficial to where it feels like an extension of our team.” It’s a relationship that helps simplify how the work gets done while staying true to its mission: to build the most loved brand in America.
